As an independent degree, the A.A.Th. equips the student with a foundational seminary-level understanding of biblical, historical, systematic, and practical theology.\u00a0 Students will graduate with a solid understanding of Lutheran theology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>B.Th. <\/strong>degree from ALS certifies that a student has a well-rounded knowledge of the Bible and Lutheran theology. Graduates will be prepared to use and apply the teachings of Scripture and will be equipped for leadership roles within the church. Those who complete the B.Th. program may consider continuing in their studies for a <strong>[Master of Arts in Religion (M.A.R.)]<\/strong> or a <strong>[Master of Divinity (M.Div.)]<\/strong> degree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students at this level are also encouraged to begin their study of the <strong>[Biblical Languages]<\/strong>. While not required for A.A.Th. or B.Th. completion, a study of Greek and Hebrew will further equip the student for their study of God\u2019s word and service within the church. These courses are also a required prerequisite for exegetical courses at the<strong> [Masters Level]<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The A.A.Th. and B.Th. degrees build on the 48 credits earned at the <strong>[Certificate and Diploma]<\/strong> levels.&nbsp; The A.A.Th. will be granted after a successful study of an additional <strong>40 credits<\/strong> (88 cumulative credits) and the B.Th. will be granted after an additional <strong>80 credits<\/strong> (128 cumulative credits).<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"gb-container gb-container-164169fe\">\n\n<h2 class=\"gb-headline gb-headline-21da58a1 gb-headline-text\">Entrance Requirements<\/h2>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"gb-container gb-container-5c09a879\">\n<div class=\"gb-container gb-container-9397b81f TextWhiteBgOrangeB\">\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Meets all requirements of <strong>[Certificate and Diploma<\/strong>] level entry.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"background-color: var(--base-2); color: var(--contrast-2); font-family: var(--gp-font--general-sans);\">Successful completion of the <\/span><strong style=\"background-color: var(--base-2); color: var(--contrast-2); font-family: var(--gp-font--general-sans);\">[Diploma Level<\/strong><span style=\"background-color: var(--base-2); color: var(--contrast-2); font-family: var(--gp-font--general-sans);\">], or its equivalent, with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or higher.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrates a character befitting of a person who aspires for ministry as outlined in 2 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A recommendation from the student\u2019s pastor or a leader in his congregation.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A recommendation from the student\u2019s advisor\/counselor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A willingness to respect ALS\u2019s <strong>[statement of faith]<\/strong> and the Lutheran character of ALS<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Active role in a local congregation or group where practical ministry may be practiced and observed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"gb-container gb-container-5591de42\">\n\n<h2 class=\"gb-headline gb-headline-867c9665
